Wat Mongkolratanaram Sunday Market (Tampa Thai Temple)

Tucked away in Tampa lies a beautiful Thai Buddhist temple with a Sunday Market worth checking out. It’s become a very popular spot for lunch time each Sunday and I can see why. This is the perfect place to get adventurous with your palate and try some authentic Thai cuisine. My two recommendations are to go with friends, so that you can share a ton of food and get there early. The Sunday Market is first come, first serve. Therefore, the earlier you get there, the more food options to choose from.

The temple is located at 5306 Palm River Road in Tampa, Florida. The Sunday Market is open from 8:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. However, the temple itself is open Tuesday through Sunday from 9:00 a.m until 4:00 p.m. Typically, the donations are cash only and go towards the temple in exchange for food. The prices are fair but can add up if you decide to do a mukbang like we did.

If you’re interested in seeing more of the food and our reactions, check out my latest vlog here. I absolutely loved exploring the Thai Sunday Market with my cousin, Simran (@emerald_sim), and her boyfriend, Hameed (@hameed9). The food was pretty great and my favorites were definitely the Thai tea and the hor mok (Thai Curry Fish Custard). We left Wat Mongkolratanaram's Sunday Market happy and full as ever.

As always be sure to follow the adventure on Instagram! Before I sign off, I must ask two things! What are your favorite Thai dishes and are you adventurous when it comes to trying new food? Let me know in the comments below.
