Farewell Summer

It is the last day of summer and I wanted to bid farewell to the season with some easy, breezy summer-to-fall transition outfits. I love the versatility of this time of year because any summer piece can be transformed to make them more weather appropriate. 

For this outfit, it was a hot day throughout so I opted for some lighter pieces. In order to make the outfit more fall-friendly, I added some cute boots and socks for a flirty touch. 

Plaid is one of my favorite patterns; particularly during the fall season. I picked up this cropped plaid top from PacSun recently and can’t wait to style it in a variety of ways! (I have so many ideas with this versatile piece.)

I decided to keep the look simple and paired the top with a corduroy mini skirt from H&M. It’s definitely a piece I will return to as the weather cools down. It’s perfect with tights, knee high socks or even knee high boots.

To complete the outfit, I added some daisy crew socks, ankle high boots and my favorite white handbag from the summer. It’s great because a lot of pieces for summer, like these, can be transitioned into fall with ease. Throw on some boots instead of sandals or add a blazer/cardigan and it’s instantly more fall-friendly.
