Summer Moments with Jord Watches + Giveaway
My favorite accessory is a watch. It is timeless, classic and elegant. The right timepiece is the perfect sidekick whether you're in a casual or professional environment. Recently, I partnered with Jord Watches to share my favorite timepiece with you. The Timepiece
When it came time to find a new watch, I wanted something that had a large face but a thinner band to fit my narrow wrists. I landed upon the Cassia series and fell in love. I was particularly taken with the walnut and rose gold option which I ended up selecting. Personally, I am a fan of rose gold and this was a watch that I could accessorize with a lot of my current silver accessories. I love mixing metals and thought that this was the perfect piece as the walnut grounds the metals together.
I love the face of the watch and have been getting compliments non-stop since I donned the watch on my wrist. So far, I've been able to wear the watch dressed up, casually and to work. It's been so versatile and I love just wearing it alone as well as alongside my other accessories. Read through to the end to see how I styled my watch this past week!
What Is Included
When you receive your Jord Watch, you will receive a gorgeously crafted wooden box along with some accessories to aid in the care and keeping of your new timepiece. Included in the shipment is a microfiber cloth, a polishing cloth, 100% natural finishing oil and extra links should you need to readjust in the future.
Care
It is recommended to treat the watch with the finishing oil every 6 months. In addition, it is advised to avoid submerging the watch in water as it is made of wood. Similarly, extreme temperatures and humidity can also affect the integrity of the wood. It is recommended to take care of the watch and store it correctly when not in use.
Sizing
Jord will size your watch for you if you opt-in for the service. In my case, the watch was still a little too big after having used the recommended paper ruler measurement tool. I ended up taking a link off at home. This was a challenge as the links are joined with a special type of screw. It has two pieces and the longer piece needs to be popped out of the shorter one. An eyeglasses tool, cloth and a very small mallet or hammer can be used. Take great care if you are doing this yourself as to not damage the links. I ended up breaking one but luckily it was the one that I was removing.
